We are looking for an enthusiastic and nurturing Swimming Programme Lead & Coach to join our team at Generation Schools Sunningdale. This role is responsible for leading our swimming programme for children from 6 months to 12 years old, helping students develop confidence in the water while fostering a lifelong love of swimming.
Whether introducing a baby to the water for the very first time or refining the technique of an experienced swimmer, the successful candidate will create an engaging, safe and supportive environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging swimming lessons for students aged 6 months to 12 years.
- Facilitate our "Mom and Tots" programme, supporting both parent and child throughout their swimming journey.
- Develop students' water confidence, swimming ability and water safety awareness through age-appropriate instruction.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to parents and caregivers.
- Maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment at all times.
- Ensure the pool area, equipment and safety procedures meet the required standards.
- Assist in planning and developing our swimming programme as it continues to grow.
- Promote positive relationships with families and serve as an ambassador for the Generation Schools swimming programme.
Administration
- Manage swimmer registrations and onboarding.
- Ensure indemnity forms and student records are accurately maintained.
- Liaise with the finance team regarding registrations and billing information.
- Maintain accurate attendance and student progress records.
Minimum Requirements
- Recognised Learn to Swim qualification (SSA Learn to Swim Instructor or equivalent).
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Valid CPR Certificate.
- Police Clearance / Child Protection Clearance.
- Previous experience teaching swimming to young children, including infants or toddlers.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
