LOCUM CLASS MUSIC TEACHER

St Benedict’s is an Independent Catholic School, which seeks to provide a holistic education for boys through full participation in spiritual, academic, sporting, creative and cultural activities. The Board of Governors invites applications for the following post in the Preparatory School.

Position: Locum Class Music Teacher

Requirements:
● Hold a Bachelor of Music Degree or Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
● Be passionate about teaching class music and be a team player
● Have experience in teaching marimba
● Be able to conduct and train choirs
● Have excellent piano playing and accompaniment skills
● Be willing to prepare and support pupils at concerts and performances
● To prepare music for chapel services and assemblies
● Be able to teach piano up to Grade 7 music level
● The ability to play the organ and /or teach another instrument will be an added advantage
● Must be prepared to work outside school hours, where necessary
● Must be SACE Registered
● Be willing to participate in the Catholic Ethos of the School

Applicants must be available to commence duty in September 2026.
