Key Responsibilities

• Teach core Intermediate Phase curriculum
• Provide small-group and one-on-one remedial support to close academic gaps.
• Use assessment data to reteach, scaffold, and adjust instruction.
• Foster an encouraging, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Ability to identify learning barriers and individual learning needs, plan interventions and provide targeted support.
• Collaborate closely with phase team and support staff to ensure consistent learning routines.
• Use technology intentionally to reinforce reading, numeracy, and concept mastery.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice.

Qualifications & Requirements

• BEd Foundation Phase OR BEd Intermediate Phase
• SACE registration (or evidence that registration is underway).
• Experience supporting second-language learners and/or remedial instruction is advantageous.
• Confident in using digital learning tools and platforms.
• Strong communication skills in English (isiXhosa or Afrikaans an advantage).
