SPORTS CO-ORDINATOR

The following position is available from January 2026:
This is a full-time position, expected to work 40 hrs per week, and because of the nature of the job, will sometimes be required to work and/or be on call over the weekends and/or evenings. This position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:
- Assist the Director of Sport in the running of the Sports Department at this 132-year-old public school
- Co-ordinate and administer the assigned Sport Codes, ensuring that they are effectively managed, coached and umpired/refereed:
- Teach GET Physical Education classes as required.
- Organise and assist with incoming and out-going sports tours
- Assist with school hosted Tournaments, Inter-house and Alumnae events.
The successful candidate will have the following skills:
- 2+ years’ experience in sports co-ordination and/or administration is essential.
- Experience coaching a sport, or qualifications in sports coaching are advantageous.
- Specific knowledge and experience of water polo and/or netball would be advantageous. Please list all relevant details in your application.
- Experience in a school environment would be an advantage.
- Current Drivers licence and Professional Drivers Permit (PDP) would be advantageous.
- Strong Administrative and Computer skills, including email and spreadsheets are essential.
- Highly organized and efficient – anticipating the needs of the pupils and staff and preventing issues before they arise.
- Pro-active and positive personality.
- Enjoy working with teenagers.
- Good communication skills, including inter-personal telephone skills
