Apex Stellenbosch — Senior Facilitator
Ready to grow into a teaching role? Apex Stellenbosch is looking for Senior Facilitators who can support blended learning and teach in their subject area. This opportunity is ideal for newly qualified teachers or final-year BEd/PGCE students who are ready to build strong classroom practice.
About Apex Stellenbosch
We are a low-fee private high school using a blended learning model: online lessons + face-to-face support. You will help make that classroom magic happen every day.
Available positions
- Senior Facilitator: Afrikaans FAL
- Senior Facilitator: isiXhosa FAL
- Senior Facilitator: Social Sciences
- Senior Facilitator: Mathematics / Sciences
Key Responsibilities
- Lead classroom routines and support learners in a blended learning environment.
- Teach and explain CAPS-aligned concepts in your subject area.
- Support online learning, learner progress tracking, marking, feedback and basic administration.
- Work closely with teachers and school leadership to keep learners engaged, organised and on track.
- Model a calm, professional and encouraging classroom presence.
Qualifications and Experience
- Newly qualified teacher or final-year BEd/PGCE student.
- Able to teach or strongly support one of the advertised subject areas.
- Confident working with high school learners and able to build positive classroom routines.
- Comfortable with computers and learning platforms.
- Reliable, punctual, organised and eager to grow as an educator.
- Strong communicator who brings initiative, professionalism and care.
Teaching experience is welcome, but not required for final-year students or newly qualified teachers who are ready to learn and contribute.
Other
- Site-based at Apex Stellenbosch (Koelenhof Road).
- Must have reliable transport.
- Final stages of recruitment will include a criminal check.
