REMEDIAL TEACHER (PRIMARY SCHOOL)
Description
Junior College is looking to appoint a dedicated and suitably qualified Remedial Teacher to support learners experiencing barriers to learning and requiring additional academic intervention.
Position: Remedial Teacher
Experience required: 3–5 years of relevant teaching experience
Location: Junior College, 15 Boundary Road, Ottery, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.

Minimum requirements:
- A recognised teaching qualification; additional training in remedial education or learning support would be advantageous.
- 3–5 years of relevant teaching experience.
- Experience identifying and supporting learners experiencing barriers to learning.
- The ability to develop and implement targeted intervention strategies.
- Knowledge of learner assessment, progress monitoring and intervention planning.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with teachers, parents and school management.
- A patient, supportive and proactive approach to learner development.
The successful candidate will assist in identifying learning gaps, implementing targeted interventions, monitoring learner progress and collaborating with classroom teachers to improve academic outcomes.
