Situated in the heart of the southern suburbs of Cape Town, Michael Oak Waldorf School is a beautiful small school community with children from nursery to matric. Michael Oak seeks to awaken the whole child towards creative responsibility and to develop confident, balanced individuals empowered to work with the challenges of today and tomorrow.

We are seeking candidates for the position of:

KINDERGARTEN TEACHER

Full-time position to begin 1 October 2026 (4^th Term)

The successful applicant must meet the following criteria:

• a Diploma in Grade R Teaching or a Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Foundation Phase Teaching
• Current SACE registration
• Be prepared to teach in a mixed age class
• Have a wide range of artistic skills - drawing, painting, clay work, singing, playing an instrument, clear, rhythmic speech, drama.
• Caring and vibrant, with a love of and dedication to children and their development
• Self-motivated, but willing to be mentored by an experienced teacher
• Able to work well with our dynamic community of staff, learners and parents
• Willing to actively contribute to the collective management of the small, tight-knit Kindergarten Faculty

Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience teaching at a Waldorf school.
