Toddler Assistant Position

Lily House Melkbos

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Montessori Toddler Assistant to join our team and support our lead educator in the 18-month to 3-year environment.

Requirements:

• Montessori qualification (minimum NQF Level 4)
• A genuine passion for working with toddlers and supporting early childhood development
• Previous experience working with children aged 18 months to 3 years (advantageous)
• Understanding of Montessori philosophy and principles in a toddler environemt
• Ability to support the lead educator with daily activities, lessons and classroom routines
• A warm, patient and nurturing approach to working with young children
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Willingness to assist with observations and maintaining a prepared environment
• Confidence in supporting children's independence, personal care and daily routines
• Reliable, organised and able to take initiative
• Valid First Aid certificate
