VACANCY: WCED PART-TIME CELLO TEACHER (7 HOURS PER WEEK)

Frank Pietersen Music Centre invites applications from qualified and passionate musicians for a WCED Part-Time Cello Teacher position.
This is an excellent opportunity to inspire and develop young musicians as part of our dedicated teaching team.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach cello from beginner to advanced levels
- Provide individual and group tuition as part of the WCED itinerant teaching program
- Prepare learners for concerts, assessments, external examinations, and subject examinations
- Guide and support learners participating in eisteddfodau and music competitions
- Contribute to the musical development and excellence of our learners
- Involvement with ensembles and conducting experience (e.g. String Ensembles and/or Orchestra)
REQUIREMENTS
Essential Qualifications:
- Professional qualification
- Proof of SACE (South African Council for Educators) registration or evidence of application for registration
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English and Afrikaans (medium of instruction)
- Strong administrative and organisational abilities
- Ability to manage diverse learner needs and teaching contexts
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work after hours for concerts, workshops, and practice camps
- Attendance at staff and parent meetings as required
- Commitment to fostering musical excellence and learner development
