Description
Somerset College is an independent co-educational school offering schooling from Grade 000 to Matric IEB and Cambridge AS and A levels. Founded in 1997 Somerset College is a welcoming, stimulating centre of learning situated in the beautiful Cape Winelands. Somerset College seeks to make use of the services of an energetic, creative and experienced Prep Piano teacher to join the sizeable team of visiting specialist music staff.
VISITING PREP PIANO TEACHER
(Fixed Term Contract)
COMMENCEMENT DATE: January 2027
The successful candidate must:
- be experienced in teaching piano from beginner to Grade 5 level, preferably in combination with another instrument;
- have a suitable professional and teaching qualification;
- prepare students for concerts, eisteddfods and Trinity College London examinations;
- be organised and a good communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- have good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work as part of a team;
- have a warm and nurturing disposition;
- be able to contribute enthusiastically to furthering Somerset College’s Music Programme and developing our string programme; and
- uphold the Christian ethos and values of the School.
