MUSIC TEACHER
(Full-time, SGB Post)

Pinehurst Primary School (the ‘Green School’) is a leading co-educational public primary school situated in Pinelands (Cape Town). We have a large, dynamic and active music department. We are looking for a Music Teacher (piano specialist) starting from: 1 April 2027.

Requirements:

• B.Mus Ed Degree (or other appropriate music education degree)
• SACE Registered
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• The ability to teach the piano. Please also state other instruments.
• The ability to play the piano for school assemblies and ceremonial functions and for accompaniments.
• Experience in teaching class music / performing arts and music theory.
• Ensemble, Orchestra and choir conducting experience will be an advantage.
• Experience in preparing children for external examinations and eisteddfods.
• Proficiency in music software will be advantageous.
• Proficient in integrating technology across instructional and administrative settings, with preferred experience in Google Workspace for Education.
