Description

GRAPHIC DESIGNER & CONTENT CREATOR

Bring Stories to Life.

At St Cyprian’s, we believe that every photograph, every design, every video and every story has the
power to capture something meaningful.

From the excitement of a Grade R learner’s first day to the pride of a matric farewell, from the quiet
moments in a classroom to the energy of the sports field, our community is full of stories worth telling.
We’re looking for a talented Graphic Designer & Content Creator who can bring these stories to life
through thoughtful design, compelling photography and videography, and engaging digital content.
This is far more than a graphic design role.

It’s an opportunity to become the creative heartbeat behind the visual identity of one of South Africa’s
leading independent girls’ schools.

If you’re someone who notices the small moments others miss, loves creating beautiful work with
purpose, and enjoys working with people just as much as pixels, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll create and capture content across a wide variety of platforms, including:

  • Designing artwork for both print and digital communications
  • Photographing and filming school life, events and special moments
  • Editing photography and video into engaging visual stories
  • Creating content for social media, marketing campaigns and internal communications
  • Maintaining and strengthening the St Cyprian’s brand across every touchpoint
  • Collaborating with staff across the school to bring ideas to life
  • Managing multiple creative projects while consistently delivering high-quality work
  • No two days are quite the same—which is exactly what makes this role so rewarding.

We’re looking for someone who…

You are likely to thrive in this role if you:

  • Have exceptional graphic design skills supported by a strong portfolio
  • Are experienced in photography, videography and editing
  • Have an excellent eye for composition, storytelling and detail
  • Are confident designing for both print and digital platforms
  • Understand branding and know how to apply brand guidelines consistently
  • Are proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro or similar)
  • Are highly organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Enjoy working collaboratively while also being comfortable working independently
  • Build positive relationships easily with people of all ages
  • Are adaptable and willing to occasionally work after hours to capture school events

The ideal candidate will have

  • A Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing or a related field
  • At least three years’ experience in digital marketing and/or graphic design
  • A strong professional design portfolio demonstrating creativity and versatility
  • Experience creating content across multiple digital platforms

Why St Cyprian’s?
You’ll join a warm, collaborative and values-driven community where creativity matters.
You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Shape the visual identity of an exceptional school
  • Capture moments that become part of our history
  • Work on a diverse range of creative projects across design, photography, video and social media
  • Continue developing your skills within a supportive and innovative environment

If you’re passionate about purposeful design, authentic storytelling and creating work that inspires
people, we’d love to hear from you.

St Cyprian’s School is on a journey of Transformation and the successful incumbent will be expected to contribute positively to the outcome of this journey.

Qualified, interested candidates are requested to apply via this link (CLICK HERE) by 31 July 2026.
