United Herzlia Schools is a highly successful, independent, community Jewish Day School in Cape Town. This person will be part of the Counselling and Learning Support team in our SEED (Supporting Emotional and Educational Development) Department.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals who meet the required skills and competencies.

Key requirements/competencies/skills:
● Be a qualified teacher, with specialization and special interest in working with children requiring Academic Support.
● SACE registration.
● Have previous experience teaching High School pupils requiring extension and those requiring support with mainstream subjects, with the ability to differentiate and scaffold content and assessments to meet pupil needs.
● Be trained in critical thinking skills and philosophy for children, and be able to develop this programme at high school level.
● Be trained in study skills, executive functioning programmes, time management and examination techniques.
● Up-to-date with international best practice.
● The ability to work with pupils in a nurturing way, in order to develop them holistically.
● Be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
● Have sound technological skills and be able to include technology in your teaching practice.
