Classroom Facilitator Learnership Position

Grassroots Preparatory is a co-educational,  independent school located in Rosebank, Cape Town. We are seeking to appoint a caring and committed facilitator to provide dedicated support to learners who require additional assistance with their learning and development.

The candidate must be:

• Be studying towards an online B.Ed. degree so that they can be free to work during the school day
• The position allows a BEd student to gain experience in the class in order to complement their studies
• The position will be for Intersen Phase
• Experience working with children will be favourable
• Have good admin skills
• Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth in academic, emotional and social areas
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher to implement strategies and activities that suit the learners’ individual needs
• Be a strong communicator, verbally, visually and in writing and able to provide feedback to teachers and parents where needed
• Be flexible, reliable and willing to assist with general school responsibilities as required
• Be organised, computer literate and adaptable to a dynamic school environment
• Experience being a reader or scribe will be an advantage
