Applications are invited for the following post:
ENGLISH TEACHER
Commencing 1 January 2027

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD:
• have genuine talent and passion for teaching English to pupils up to Grade 12 level
• have taught Grade 12 for a minimum of 5 years as a specialist English teacher in a similar environment
• possess a strong knowledge of the IEB English curriculum
• have some experience in teaching Further Studies English
• have the benefit of experience as an IEB English marker
• be willing to offer English support lessons if the need arises
• exude creativity, enthusiasm and innovation in the classroom
• be a collaborative team player who works effectively with colleagues and pupils
• demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a track record of strong relationships with stakeholders
• have an appropriate teaching qualification with a minimum of a specialisation in English, and a PGCE or B Ed, or equivalent
• possess planning and organisational skills with superior detail orientation
• be competent in, and excited about, the use of digital pedagogy
• strong IT skills to enhance teaching, learning and administration
• be registered with SACE
