Junior IT Technician
The successful candidate will display:
- a good knowledge of Apple and iPads.
- Experience with IT Systems, networks, and related technologies.
- Excellent working knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure including Windows Server, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience in an IT service desk / support-related role in a school environment would be advantageous.
- Previous work experience in JAMF would be advantageous
- Skills to work in a diverse student and staff environment.
- Previous work experience in a public school environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- a CompTIA A+ and N+ qualification (or equivalence in experience).
- be able to contribute ideas that will improve the current process and the department in the future.
The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications;
- Setting up new user accounts and dealing with password issues;
- Dealing with firewall security;
- Troubleshooting systems and network problems and diagnosing and solving
- hardware/software and iPad issues;
- Supporting staff throughout the day with network, computers or device issues;
- Source quotes and pricing as needed and replace parts as required;
- Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;
- Supporting the roll-out of new application and annual iPad roll-out program
- Ensure all licences are renewed and compliant
