Junior IT Technician

The successful candidate will display:

• a good knowledge of Apple and iPads.
• Experience with IT Systems, networks, and related technologies.
• Excellent working knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure including Windows Server, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience in an IT service desk / support-related role in a school environment would be advantageous.
• Previous work experience in JAMF would be advantageous
• Skills to work in a diverse student and staff environment.
• Previous work experience in a public school environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• a CompTIA A+ and N+ qualification (or equivalence in experience).
• be able to contribute ideas that will improve the current process and the department in the future.

The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications;
• Setting up new user accounts and dealing with password issues;
• Dealing with firewall security;
• Troubleshooting systems and network problems and diagnosing and solving
• hardware/software and iPad issues;
• Supporting staff throughout the day with network, computers or device issues;
• Source quotes and pricing as needed and replace parts as required;
• Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;
• Supporting the roll-out of new application and annual iPad roll-out program
• Ensure all licences are renewed and compliant
