We are looking for an enthusiastic Physical Sciences teacher (Grade 8-12) to bring energy, expertise, and creativity into the classroom from January 2027.
Key Qualities and Abilities:
- Experience of teaching Physical Sciences to a Matric level
- Relevant teaching qualifications and proof of SACE registration
- Although not essential, NSC marking experience would be a strong recommendation.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver structured lessons in alignment with the national/curriculum requirements (Physics & Chemistry).
- Teach foundational Natural Sciences to Grades 8–9 to spark interest and build prerequisites for senior physical science.
- Integrate modern learning technologies and inquiry-based practical demonstrations into daily teaching.
- Serve as a register class teacher, supporting student wellness and discipline.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Good English communication skills
- Computer skills including the ability to use information and communication technologies in the classroom
- Exposure to the Google classroom platform
- Willingness to lead a team if called upon to do so
- The willingness to coach, or manage one of the school’s sports codes. (Coaching certification an advantage but not a necessity)
