Position: Mathematics Teacher (Grades 8–12)
Location: Camps Bay High School, Cape Town, South Africa
Start Date: Term 1, 2027
Position Overview:
Camps Bay High School seeks a passionate and committed Mathematics teacher to join our dynamic academic team. The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Grades 8–12 and contribute positively to the academic and co-curricular life of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics across Grades 8–12
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the curriculum
- Set, assess, and moderate tasks and examinations
- Monitor learner progress and provide academic support where necessary
- Maintain effective classroom management and positive learner relationships
- Contribute actively to the broader academic and co-curricular life of the school
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field
- Professional teaching qualification
- Registration with SACE
- Experience teaching Mathematics at high school level (Experience teaching Grade 12 important)
- Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Previous experience as an NSC exam marking will be advantageous
