Mathematics (GET & FET)

Wynberg Girls’ High School seeks to appoint a full-time, passionate and experienced GET & FET Mathematics Educator. The ability and experience to serve as the Subject Head may also be to a candidate’s advantage.

Please ensure that all teaching subjects qualified to teach are clearly stated in the application, in addition to grades previously taught in each subject. Please also state if you are currently in an SGB or WCED post.

Successful applicants must offer the following:

• Appropriate academic and professional teaching qualifications, with proof of SACE registration;
• At least three years of experience in teaching FET Mathematics (Grades 10–12);
• Experience in the teaching of Further Studies Mathematics (formerly AP Maths), experience in Olympiad team training, and/or NSC Marking experience would be advantageous;
• A passion for teaching and learning, and working with dynamic and engaged youth;
• Strong IT skills for administrative and teaching purposes;
• A sound command of spoken and written English;
• A willingness to work hard and participate in the school’s extensive extra-curricular programme (current involvement and experience must be stated); and
• A commitment to the school’s core values and a keen interest in values-based education within the context of the South African educational landscape.
