History Teacher Grades 8 - 12
Bishops is seeking the services of a dynamic, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join its expanding History Department as a teacher of Grades 8-12.
The position is effective from 01 January 2027.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a genuine passion for History and the skills to share this enthusiasm with his/her colleagues and the learner within his/her care.
- Be suitably qualified and have experience in teaching History from grades 8 to 12. Cambridge AS and A Level-specific teaching experience could be advantageous.
- Demonstrate a contemporary and in-depth understanding of NSC-specific Grade 12 History.
- Using interactive teaching methods and educational technology.
- Demonstrates creativity, initiative, and motivation in teaching practices and assessment methods.
- Be able to work effectively as a member of a team dedicated to the development and care of all pupils.
- Contribute meaningfully to the academic, sporting, and cultural life of the school.
- Be SACE registered.
- Be a South African citizen.
