Head of Student Wellbeing & Interns
Rondebosch Boys’ Preparatory School invites applications for a Head of Student Wellbeing & Interns.
Minimum Requirements
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- A minimum of seven years’ successful teaching experience, preferably within a preparatory school.
- Demonstrated experience in learner wellbeing, pastoral care or student support.
- Experience mentoring, coaching or supervising intern or student teachers.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- A willingness to contribute to the school’s sport and co-curricular programme.
- A sound understanding of child safeguarding, professional boundaries, confidentiality and the responsible handling of sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate learner support processes and translate wellbeing priorities into practical, consistent implementation.
- The ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents and relevant specialist professionals.
- Ability to teach Maths, English and Natural Science & Technology will be an advantage.
- A valid Police Clearance and Child Protection Clearance Certificate.
Preferred Attributes
- Postgraduate qualifications or additional training in counselling, educational leadership or learner wellbeing.
- Experience within a school environment.
- Experience designing or leading professional learning programmes.
