Head of Student Wellbeing & Interns

Rondebosch Boys’ Preparatory School invites applications for a Head of Student Wellbeing & Interns.

Minimum Requirements

  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • A minimum of seven years’ successful teaching experience, preferably within a preparatory school.
  • Demonstrated experience in learner wellbeing, pastoral care or student support.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching or supervising intern or student teachers.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to contribute to the school’s sport and co-curricular programme.
  • A sound understanding of child safeguarding, professional boundaries, confidentiality and the responsible handling of sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate learner support processes and translate wellbeing priorities into practical, consistent implementation.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents and relevant specialist professionals.
  • Ability to teach Maths, English and Natural Science & Technology will be an advantage.
  • A valid Police Clearance and Child Protection Clearance Certificate.

Preferred Attributes

  • Postgraduate qualifications or additional training in counselling, educational leadership or learner wellbeing.
  • Experience within a school environment.
  • Experience designing or leading professional learning programmes.
