CAMBRIDGE CURRICULUM, IGCSE & AS LEVEL: GEOGRAPHY AND/OR ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT TEACHER

Position title: Geography and/or Environmental Management Teacher - Cambridge curriculum, IGCSE and AS level

Hours: 7.30-16.30

Evolve Academy is a secondary, independent, co-ed day school situated in the Southern Suburbs in the Western Cape. Our students benefit from the Cambridge curriculum, which includes Lower Secondary, IGCSE and AS level. With a focus on individual attention, we pride ourselves on a small classroom environment. We strongly believe in the holistic development of the child where curiosity, environmental sustainability and critical thinking are woven into all subject areas.

Requirements:

• Cambridge curriculum experience essential.
• BEd, BSc and PGCE or equivalent qualifications.
• Subject specialism in Geography and/or Environmental Management.
• Particular emphasis on delivering practical lessons.
• Ability to teach multiple subjects is advantageous.
• A minimum of five years teaching and assessment experience at FET level, IGCSE/AS experience essential.
• An innovative, creative, child-centred and passionate approach to teaching and the broader life of the school.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• SACE registered.
• A police clearance certificate of no more than six months old.
