2027 Foundation and Intermediate Phase teacher intern positions

Clarendon Primary School is looking for Interns who are serious about making teaching their profession.  The intern must be creative, passionate and a divergent thinker.

• Preference will be given to a student who has already completed their first year of study towards a Foundation or Intermediate Phase teaching qualification through an accredited tertiary institution
• Only students who are studying via distance learning platforms will be considered
• An ability to teach both English and a FAL, Afrikaans or isiZulu will be an advantage
• They will be required to become fully involved in both our sporting and cultural extra-mural programmes
• The Intern will be allocated various responsibilities during the day which will include relief teaching, invigilation, attending meetings and workshops, break and administrative duties
• An annual contract will be renewable provided that all academic and teaching milestones are reached
• Provisional SACE registration a requirement
• A valid police clearance is a requirement
• Start date January 2027
