AFTERCARE ASSISTANT
The School seeks to employ a reliable and hardworking aftercare assistant to join our team. This position requires an individual who enjoys working with children and seeks to enhance the running of the school’s aftercare programme.
Working Hours: Mondays - Fridays 12:00 - 18:00
The key responsibilities of the role are:
● Supervise and assist learners at aftercare
● Complete the relevant registers and reports
● Oversee the safety of learners at aftercare
● Oversee learners’ extracurricular activities
● Assist the Aftercare Supervisor
● Provide and support effective communication
Qualifications and skills:
● Friendly, welcoming, approachable, efficient and flexible
● Work effectively in a team environment
● Strong communication, time management and organisational skills
● Take initiative
● Promote the values and ethos of a culturally diverse girls’ school
● Aligns with the school’s transformation objectives.
● Proficient in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
● Experience in working with large groups of children is essential
● First Aid qualification would be advantageous
