LEARNERSHIPS FOR STUDENT TEACHERS
Bergvliet High School has LEARNERSHIP opportunities for the FET phase at our progressive, co-ed High School.
A monthly stipend will be paid, access to wi-fi, computers, interactive whiteboards, mentors, practical teaching, etc.
These learnerships are for students who are currently in their 3rd year of BEd and who will be studying part-time in their 4th year or completing their PGCE at the end of 2027.
Studies in 2027 with the stipulated Major subjects must be part-time towards a B Ed Degree or Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) through UNISA or a similar accredited institution.
Prerequisites
- Currently in 3rd year B Ed OR doing PGCE in 2027
- Major subjects: Mathematics; CAT; Afrikaans; Physical Science
- Active participation in one of the following sports:
- Cricket, Hockey, Rugby and/or Netball.
- Fully computer literate.
- A clear criminal record.
