Islamia College
Overview
Islamia’s vision is to produce well balanced, enlightened, empowered, independent-thinking, conscientious human beings, subscribing to Divine guidance and emulating the ideals of prophetic examples who play a constructive role as compassionate, informed individuals in society.
Islamia College was founded in 1984, and was located in Rylands Estate, Cape Town, South Africa as the Habibia Girls College. It was founded under the leadership of the community based board of directors. The College started with 2 grades and 47 students in the storeroom of Habibia Masjid. The institute is now based in Lansdowne, on Imam Haron Road, and has grown to a campus with five components.
