MARKETING ASSISTANT
About the Role
This role supports the Marketing Manager with telling the Bridge House story across multiple platforms and strengthening connections with our vibrant school community — including alumni, parents, staff, and the wider school community. The successful applicant will play a key role in developing engaging content, coordinating events, and building our alumni network.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
• Assist in planning and executing the school’s marketing and communications strategy.
• Capture, curate and create engaging stories, photos, and videos that showcase school life.
• Assist the Marketing Manager with the scheduling of social media content (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, website, newsletters).
• Support the production of print and digital marketing materials.
• Collaborate with staff, students, and parents to ensure consistent messaging and brand identity across all channels.
• Assist in maintaining and updating the Bridge House website and photo library.
Alumni Relations
• Help manage and grow the Bridge House Alumni network and database.
• Support alumni communications, newsletters, and event planning (e.g. reunions, Founders’ Day).
• Liaise with alumni for news stories, features, and mentorship initiatives.
• Assist in developing creative ways to strengthen alumni engagement and connection to the school community.
Events & Support
• Assist with the coordination and coverage of school events (sports, culture, community, and academics).
• Provide marketing support for key school events.
• Work collaboratively with departments and external partners/sponsors where required.
Skills & Attributes required:
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Passion for social media, photography, and visual communication.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Warm, professional interpersonal style with a team-focused attitude.
• A proactive, creative thinker with an eye for design and innovation.
Qualifications & Experience required:
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. This is a minimum requirement for this position.
• At least 1–3 years’ experience in a communications, marketing, or social media role (school environment advantageous).
• Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
• Experience with social media platforms, photography, and basic video editing.
