IT TECHNICIAN

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hardware and software support and maintenance across the school environment.
• Respond to IT queries and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, iPads, printers, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and deploy new hardware components and software applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on desktops, laptops, iPads, and mobile devices.
• Perform network troubleshooting, maintenance, and support
• Conduct hardware and software audits as required.
• Provide audio-visual technical support for school facilities.

Essential Requirements:

• Technical Skills:
  • Strong networking support and troubleshooting experience
  • Proficiency in supporting multi-platform environments including Google Workspace, Microsoft, Apple
  • (iPadOS/macOS), Android, and third-party applications.
  • Hardware diagnostics and repair capabilities.
  • Audio-visual systems knowledge and technical support experience.
• Qualifications:
  • Relevant ICT Services Delivery certification or diploma.
  • CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications (required).

Key Competencies:

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Professional demeanour when interacting with staff and students.

Practical Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with reliable personal transport.
• Ability to work flexible hours when required (e.g., events, system deployments).
• Major network upgrades, infrastructure projects, and system deployments are scheduled during school holidays.
