IT TECHNICIAN

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hardware and software support and maintenance across the school environment.
- Respond to IT queries and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, iPads, printers, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and deploy new hardware components and software applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on desktops, laptops, iPads, and mobile devices.
- Perform network troubleshooting, maintenance, and support
- Conduct hardware and software audits as required.
- Provide audio-visual technical support for school facilities.
Essential Requirements:
- Technical Skills:
- Strong networking support and troubleshooting experience
- Proficiency in supporting multi-platform environments including Google Workspace, Microsoft, Apple
- (iPadOS/macOS), Android, and third-party applications.
- Hardware diagnostics and repair capabilities.
- Audio-visual systems knowledge and technical support experience.
- Qualifications:
- Relevant ICT Services Delivery certification or diploma.
- CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications (required).
Key Competencies:
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Professional demeanour when interacting with staff and students.
Practical Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with reliable personal transport.
- Ability to work flexible hours when required (e.g., events, system deployments).
- Major network upgrades, infrastructure projects, and system deployments are scheduled during school holidays.
