Part-Time isiZulu FAL Teacher (Grades 4–7)
Commencement Date: January 2026
Clifton Nottingham Road invites applications for a part-time FAL isiZulu teacher.
Clifton Preparatory School is an independent, co-educational school offering classes from Grade 000 to Grade 7, with the option of weekly and termly boarding. Founded in 1942, the school is set on a picturesque 64-hectare estate in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.
Clifton Nottingham Road seeks a passionate isiZulu teacher to teach First Additional Language from Grades 4 to 7.
The ideal candidate will nurture curiosity, confidence, and cultural appreciation through engaging, child-centred lessons in line with our Champions of Childhood vision.
Responsibilities
- Teach isiZulu FAL lessons that are interactive, creative, and developmentally appropriate.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom where children feel safe to speak and explore language.
- Assess and report thoughtfully, providing clear feedback to children and parents.
- Contribute to cultural events and initiatives that celebrate isiZulu heritage.
- Work collaboratively within the Senior Primary team.
Requirements
- Relevant teaching qualification with isiZulu specialisation.
- SACE registration and eligibility to work in South Africa.
- Experience teaching isiZulu FAL at the Intermediate/Senior Phase level.
- Confident use of ICT and varied teaching strategies.
- Warm, reflective, and committed to ongoing professional growth.
