Position Title: Gr 7 Generalist Teacher

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract

Location: Diep River, Cape Town

Hours: 7.30-17.00

Evolve Academy is an independent, co-ed middle/high school situated in Southern Suburbs in the Cape Town. Our students benefit from the Cambridge curriculum, which includes Lower Secondary, IGCSE and AS level. With a focus on individual attention, we pride ourselves on a small classroom environment. We strongly believe in the holistic development of the child where curiosity, environmental sustainability and critical thinking are woven into all subject areas.

We are seeking a dynamic and caring Grade 7 Generalist Teacher who is passionate about working with young children and committed to delivering engaging, integrated learning experiences.

Requirements:

• Experience with the Cambridge curriculum is advantageous.
• Montessori experience or training is welcomed.
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. BEd, PGCE, or equivalent).
• Strong ability to teach across multiple subject areas, especially Maths and Sciences.
• A minimum of five years of classroom experience at senior primary/middle school level.
• A creative, enthusiastic and child-centred approach to education.
• Excellent communication, planning and classroom management skills.
• SACE registration (or eligibility to register).
• Valid police clearance certificate (dated within the past six months).
