VOICE TEACHER
(INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR)
To start: January 2026

At St Cyprian’s School, music is not merely taught — it is lived. Our Music Department is a
spirited hub where young voices find their strength, confidence, and artistry. We are seeking an
accomplished Voice Teacher who can guide students to discover the full range of their musical
expression while developing solid technical foundations from January 2026.

This role is ideal for an educator who delights in nurturing both skill and soul, understands the
delicate alchemy of performance and pedagogy, and thrives in a collaborative, forward-thinking
environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach voice to High School students from beginner to advanced levels.
  • Prepare students for internal performances, external examinations, eisteddfods, and
    competitions.
  • Develop expressive, confident, and technically proficient singers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in choral, ensemble, and departmental initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Music (or equivalent qualification in vocal performance or
    pedagogy).
  • Proven track record of excellent vocal teaching.
  • Solid understanding of vocal teaching methodologies across a variety of genres and
    styles.
  • Ability to inspire confidence and performance presence in students.
  • Registration with SACE would be advantageous.
  • Ability to accompany students will be an advantage.
