

SPORTS COORDINATOR
Description
St John’s CBC is an Independent Catholic school with a rich heritage of providing quality faith and values-based education, to learners from Grades 0 to 12.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Sports Coordinator to run and manage a successful sports programme in the College.
St John’s Christian Brothers College invites applications by suitably qualified and experienced candidates for Sports Coordinator, starting 1 January 2025. A probation period of a minimum of 3 months applies.
Skills & Responsibilities
- The teaching and assessment for the Physical Education lessons Grades R-12.
- Set up the annual, monthly and weekly sports programme effectively.
- Ensure that policies and procedures relating to CBC St John's sport are current and revised regularly.
- Work with sports coaches and other College staff to ensure the planning and administration relating to Festivals, Interschool, House and other sporting events.
- Monitor the level and quality of sports equipment.
- Is familiar with the College's child safeguarding policy and any other policies or procedures relating to student safety.
- Encourage staff to take responsibility for sports teams in a coaching or managing capacity.
- Organise and transport teams io sports matches and for this, a valid Public Drivers Permit (PDP) is required.
- Have an updated First Aid Qualification.
- Strictly adhere to the annual allocated budget.
- A Strong work ethic and professionalism is a must.
- A sound personal value system, aligned with the inclusive values of Catholic education.
