ONLINE TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES FOR SOUTH AFRICAN RESIDENTS ONLY

Subject: Online Teacher for UK National Curriculum - Based in South Africa

Position: Online Teacher (UK National Curriculum up to Matric/KS5)

Note: This role focuses on core academic subjects. It is not an ESL teaching position.

Salary: £8.50 - £11.00 per hour (Equivalent to ZAR 196 - ZAR 254 as of 19/09/2023)

Role Overview:

As a valued member of Purple Ruler, you'll be introduced to cutting-edge online teaching methodologies. You'll navigate through the unique challenges and opportunities of digital teaching, ensuring students receive the best education, regardless of their physical location.

What You'll Do:

• Lead small group sessions spanning various UK schools, with a focus on Maths and Sciences (Grades 9 to 12).
• Benefit from a flexible, tailor-made schedule.
• Access continuous training and support on advanced online teaching platforms.
• Collaborate closely with various school stakeholders, ensuring optimal student outcomes.
• Innovate and adapt, ensuring your teaching methods remain effective and engaging in the virtual realm.

Requirements:

• Must be based in South Africa due to DfE regulations.
• Exceptional time management.
• Deep commitment to fostering student growth.
• Maintain a professional teaching environment and backdrop when working from home.
• Valid DBS check.
• Reliable internet connection (min. 15MBPS).
• Use of a headset with a microphone.
• Commit to 15-30 hours a week
