Uplands is an Anglican, innovative, co-educational, independent school located on an extensive estate in White River, close to the Kruger National Park. We are committed to providing quality education to day- (Grade 0000 – Grade 12) and boarding pupils (Grade 4 – Grade 12).

Uplands is a member of the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa (ISASA) and the Anglican Board of Education of South Africa (ABESA) and offers examinations set by the Independent Examination Board (IEB).

Uplands seeks to appoint passionate Music Instructors, on a full-time and part-time basis, to facilitate music lessons in a variety of instruments for pupils of all ages.

The successful applicant will:

  • Possess suitable professional qualification
  • Proficiency in piano essential
  • Must have individual instrument teaching experience (class music teaching will be advantageous)
  • Experience in teaching a variety of instruments will be an advantage (strings, brass, drumkit, percussion, marimbas, saxophone, flute, clarinet, etc.)
  • Arrange vocal and instrumental ensembles for performances and be able to work across all genres of music
  • Have excellent communication, organisation and administration skills
  • Demonstrate willingness to support the Christian ethos of the school
