OUR VISION
The primary objective of our Teacher Internship Programme at Michaelhouse is to mentor and grow the next generation of great teachers for our school and country. The Michaelhouse Teacher Internship Programme consists of full involvement in all aspects of school life of a full-time boarding school: on-the-job training in the form of teaching practice in the classroom; involvement in pastoral care (for example, boarding house, tutoring and bus duties); sports coaching all-year round; involvement in cultural activities; assisting with clubs and societies; participation in community outreach projects; as well as a mentoring and development programme to help become a holistic educator and an all-round school master. A performance development plan will be put in place for you, and your mentor will guide and evaluate your progress throughout the year.
