PRE-PRIMARY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER (BOYS’ SPORTS CO-ORDINATOR)

Applications are invited for the following position:
Pre-Primary and Primary School Physical Education Teacher
(Boys’ Sports Co-ordinator)
to commence duties in: Term 1 of 2026 or soonest thereafter

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Teaching Pre-Primary and Primary School Physical Education (Grades RR - 7).
• Coaching a core School Sporting code, to boys.
• Co-ordinating Primary School Boys’ sport across the school’s sporting codes.
• Liaising closely with the Primary School Girls’ Physical Education Teacher.
• Work in a team across both Primary and High School.
• Liaising with staff and other schools as regards fixtures, tournaments and tours.
• Control of sports equipment and management of the school’s sporting facilities in conjunction with the High School Sport Co-ordinators and the school’s Estate Manager.
• Ensuring the smooth running of all sporting activities and events.

Required qualifications, competencies and experience:

• Must be male.
• A recognised teaching qualification is imperative to teach Physical Education.
• Registration with SACE is a non-negotiable requirement.
• A minimum of three years’ teaching experience within a Primary School.
• Have experience organising sport events and tournaments.
• Proficiency in computer literacy.
• A Police Clearance certificate will be required.
• Be passionate about education and working with children.
• Proven organisational and administration skills.
• Knowledge of latest teaching trends.

Advantageous:

• Teaching experience in Independent Schools would be an advantage.
• Experience using the Google Suite would be an advantage.
