Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Deliver dynamic and interactive lessons aligned with the Grade 1 CAPS curriculum.
- Foster a supportive and positive classroom environment.
- Assess and monitor scholar progress, providing daily constructive feedback.
- Demonstrate professionalism in punctuality, behaviour and standards for both personal and scholars’ work.
- Collaborate with team members and engage with parents/guardians to support scholar development.
- Participate in school events and activities to enrich the learning experience.
- Use technology effectively and creatively to enhance learning.
- Be open to continuous professional development, both personal and school-wide.
Education and/or Experience:
- Relevant educational qualification, such as a tertiary qualification in the appropriate phase.
- South African Council of Educators (SACE) registration.
- Experience in teaching the Grade 1 CAPS curriculum is preferred.
- Proficiency in incorporating technology into teaching methods.
Skills, Competencies and Attributes:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise work.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in English, proficiency in isiXhosa OR Afrikaans is advantageous.
Other:
- Must have reliable transport.
- This is an on-site role at Apex Pinelands, Conradie Park
