Foundation Phase Teacher

Uplands is a forward-thinking, innovative co-educational independent school located on a 110-hectare Estate in White River, Mpumalanga, that is committed to providing quality education to day- and boarding scholars from Grade 0000 to 12.

Uplands School is a member of the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa (ISASA) and the Anglican Board of Education of South Africa (ABESA) and offers examinations set by the Independent Examination Board (IEB).

Uplands Preparatory seeks to appoint a passionate Foundation Phase Teacher, whose strengths will lie in good verbal and written communication as well as being an energetic, enthusiastic and results-driven teacher.

The successful applicant will:

• Possess a suitable professional qualification and be SACE registered
• Have a minimum of 4 years teaching experience (IEB experience would be an advantage)
• Be innovative, embrace technology in the classroom and display a creative teaching style
• Be genuinely passionate to make a difference in pupils’ lives
• Be willing to work as part of a team and assist with general duties as and when required
• Possess strong administrative skills, be fully computer literate as well as have excellent verbal and written skills
• Be willing to embrace the rapid change in the education, teaching and learning environment
• Have a proven record of commitment and professionalism towards education
