ENGLISH HOME LANGUAGE

This leading English-medium South African public boy’s school has a vacancy for a fulltime, permanent teacher for English Home Language.

This is a SGB position with effect from 1 January 2025.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience for this position:

• Appropriate teaching qualifications are essential. Candidates must have a minimum qualification of either a four year BEd degree or a suitable degree with English at a minimum of three year level and a PGCE.
• Thorough knowledge of CAPS and related curricula.
• A minimum of 5 years teaching experience.
• Experience in teaching Grade 12 will be considered an advantage.
• SACE Registration is essential.

Main Responsibilities:

• Teaching, assessment, planning and preparation for all classes
• Tutor/Register teacher responsibilities
• Must be involved in the extramural programme.
• Will be responsible to fulfil all other reasonable duties required of a teacher.
