Herschel Girls Senior School seeks to appoint

High School Waterpolo Coaches

to commence duties in August/September (team dependant)

Herschel Girls School is looking for innovative and progressive coaches who seek the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and excellent sports staff and school on a fixed-term service provider contract ending March 2025.

The successful applicants will be suitably qualified and/or experienced coaches and the following are essential:

  • A passion and enthusiasm for coaching the youth
  • Knowledge and experience in coaching – accredited coaches will have an advantage
  • Good administrative, communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to practices during the week, matches on weekends and possible tours
  • A willingness to work within the coaching team while taking direction from the school’s Head Coach
  • Be fully committed to the school’s transformation, equity and belonging strategic objectives in support of an equitable, inclusive, and safe school and sporting environment for all
  • A willingness to work within the values and ethos of the school
  • A healthy self-awareness and a well-developed sense of duty of care towards one’s players and one’s colleagues
  • To hold at heart the school’s tagline of “learning to make a difference” for oneself and for the players in one’s care
