COMPUTER APPLICATION EDUCATION (SPECIAL NEEDS EDUCATION)
Description
Vista Nova School, a center of excellence in special needs education, wishes to appoint a High School Computer Application educator, in a WCED post effective 1 January 2026.
Recommendations:
- Recognised suitable teaching Qualification to teach Computer Application Technology in the FET Phase, Grades 10 - 12.
- Experience in leading a sports code.
- Strong ICT Skills.
- Registered with SACE.
- Vetting against the NSOR (National Sexual Offenders Register) Form 7 available online) and Police Clearance or proof of application.
Competencies:
- Fulfill all the duties of a PL1 educator as prescribed in the PAM document.
- Good classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage discipline challenges within a classroom setting.
- A Professional Driver’s Permit and coaching soccer, netball, cricket or athletics would be an advantage
The successful candidate must be adaptable, eager to learn, able to take initiative, able to work with a Multi-Disciplinary Team as well as be willing to work with learners with physical and learning barriers.
