Description

CAMBRIDGE ECONOMICS AND IEB BUSINESS STUDIES TEACHER

St Cyprian’s School for Girls in Cape Town seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative
Commerce teacher in the High School from June 2025 (starting date negotiable).

The position requires an inspiring individual who will cultivate an authentic interest in both
subjects and, in so doing, grow their desirability as exit subjects.

If you are passionate about commerce subjects and their contribution to developing
students, show credible innovation in education, and create happy and collaborative
learning environments, we are excited to hear from you.

Successful candidates will hold a recognised, content academic degree, professional
teaching qualification, current SACE registration, and a track record in teaching Economics
and Business Studies in senior High School. Experience in the Cambridge space would
be an advantage.

As a teacher, you will show commitment to the development of students, high energy
levels and a willingness to immerse yourself in school life.

St Cyprian’s School is on a journey of Transformation and the successful incumbent will be
expected to contribute positively to the outcome of this journey.

Qualified, interested candidates are requested to submit a letter of motivation for the position,
a detailed curriculum vitae, and three contactable referees to the Principal, Shelley Frayne, at
fraynes@stcyprians.co.za by Monday, 12 May.

Failure to meet the minimum requirements will result in disqualification.

Only short-listed candidates will be contacted for further discussions.

St Cyprian’s School is a proud, independent school committed to equity and belonging, embracing
and advancing diversity. We have a strong anchor that connects our Anglican tradition, values and
heritage and we are a place that welcomes all faiths. It is from this frame that we grow and hone
purpose, intellect, character, and agency in our students.
