Herschel Girls Senior School seeks to appoint a
Sports Administrator
to commence duties in July 2025
Herschel Girls School is looking for an innovative and progressive Sports Administrator who seeks the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and excellent sports staff and school.
The successful applicant will be suitably qualified and/or an experienced coach and the following are essential:
- Willingness to manage, coach and oversee various sports codes offered at Herschel
- Strong administration, communication and organisational skills, which include the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, meet deadlines, and record data accurately
- Ability to take initiative, address challenges, analyse sports programme and propose new ideas to improve the sports programme
- Agility to changing situations and the capacity to handle unexpected tasks or challenges
- Be comfortable with using digital tools, software, and platforms related to sports management and communication
- Enthusiasm for sports and a commitment to fostering a positive sports environment for pupils
- Understanding of sports coaching, player development, and the importance of a whole−school sports approach
- Experience in coaching – accredited coaches will have an advantage
- Commitment to practices during the week and matches on weekends
- Availability for National tours and tournaments which may include weekends, public holidays, and school holidays
- To hold at heart the school’s tagline of “learning to make a difference” for oneself and for the pupils in one’s care
- A healthy self−awareness and a well−developed sense of duty of care towards one’s players and one’s colleagues; coupled with being a team player who can collaborate and problem solve
- An understanding and appreciation of girls’ education and the nuances applicable to support the educational premise of nurturing confident, independent, caring, resolute and inspiring young women
- Be fully committed to the School’s transformation, equity and belonging strategic objectives in support of an equitable and safe school and sporting environment for all
- To be supportive of the Christian Anglican ethos of the School
