Uplands is an Anglican, co-educational, innovative independent school located on an extensive estate in White River, close to the Kruger National Park. We are committed to providing quality education to day- and boarding pupils ranging from Grade 0000 to 12.
Uplands is a member of the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa (ISASA) and the Anglican Board of Education of South Africa (ABESA) and offers examinations set by the Independent Examination Board (IEB).
Alumni Relations Coordinator
Uplands seeks to appoint an Alumni Relations Administrator with strong administrative skills who has the ability to work under pressure, show initiative and collaborate within the different areas of the school.
The successful applicant will:
- Have an appropriate professional qualification in Office Management, Secretarial Administration or equivalent.
- Have more than 3 years’ experience in an administration role (experience in a similar role will be advantageous).
- Have experience in writing engaging copy, using social media for community engagement.
- Have experience with internal and external relationship building.
- Have very strong oral and written communication skills.
- Have an eye for design and creative flair.
- Have excellent time management, organisational and administration skills.
- Be accurate with strong attention to detail.
- Enjoy bringing people together and creating a network of relationships.
- Be self-motivated and able to work independently with initiative.
- Have an upbeat and positive attitude with a willingness to be flexible and adopt a hands-on approach.
- Uphold the vision, values and aims of the school and actively contribute to its development.
The key functions will be to:
- Communications – engaging digital communications, manage online communications, track down alumni and maintain alumni database.
- Engagement – plan and deliver alumni events, lead the alumni mentorship programme.
- Relationship Building – Responsive and welcoming point of contact, develop positive relationships with key personnel within the School, develop the School’s relationship with the UPPA and assist the Uplands Foundation in cultivating relationships.
Commencement date: 01 January 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter
