Stanford Lake College is a leading co-educational independent school in Magoebaskloof, Limpopo, providing a balanced, all-round, quality education, based on a Christian foundation.

Head of Department Accountancy and Business Studies (teaching Accountancy and overseeing Business Studies)

Grades 8 – 12

The position will commence in January 2026 (negotiable)

The position is full-time and the successful candidate would report to the Head of Academics

The minimum requirements for the post are:

  • a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or similar)
  • a professional post-graduate teaching qualification
  • Current SACE registration
  • a minimum of five years’ teaching experience in the FET phase, at an IEB school
  • 3 years teaching Grade 12 Accounting at an IEB school
  • extensive experience as a Grade 12 marker, preferably within the IEB

The successful applicant will:

  • be willing to be part of the extra-curricular program
  • be willing to do boarding duties
  • have the ability to be assertive but flexible and to pay attention to detail;
  • embrace cognitive education and appropriate use of technology in the classroom;
  • be able to understand and be committed to Stanford Lake College’s values and ethos;
  • be self-starter who can manage themselves and work independently
  • possess a strongly driven work ethic;
  • have excellent interpersonal skills with colleagues, students and parents;
  • have good organisational and administrative skills;
  • have an open and creative outlook to education;
